We are delighted to announce our Autumn 2021 Season of 11 concerts which feature a selection of symphonic masterpieces.

Kirill kicks off the series with a programme of Symphonic Pictures with music by Bizet and Mussorgsky; joined by pianist Louis Schwizgebel in Ravel’s capricious Concerto in G. Kirill also brings an all- American concerto and a host of symphonic gems by the great Gerrman/Austrian masters – Mozart, Schumann, Brahms and Bruckner. We are thrilled that German horn soloist Felix Klieser will be this season’s BSO Artist-in-Residence. As well as his concerto with us in November, we are working on a number of concerts and other exciting activities with him across 2022. Sunwook Kim returns with his long awaited conducting debut featuring a celebration of Beethoven, rescheduled from April 2019. We also welcome back Andrew Litton in a dance themed concert including Debussy’s Prelude à L’après-midi d’un faune and The Nutcracker, Mark Wigglesworth conducting Sibelius’ Symphony No.1 and Ryan Wigglesworth with a programme of Mozart and Dvořák. We finish this first half of the 2021/22 Season with a Christmas selection of Baroque favourites conducted by Laurence Cummings.
