Singing in a choir is a brilliant way to meet new people and it has been proven to instill a sense of happiness and increase wellbeing.
The choir performs at least three times a year under the direction of conductor, Pete Harrison with the full Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. There are no auditions to join and the ability to read music is not essential.
Choir members enjoy being part of the BSO family, sharing experiences in rehearsal and on the concert platform, with social events alongside plenty of tea, biscuits and fun.
- Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings from 7.15-9.30pm at Richard Taunton Sixth Form College, Hill Lane, Southampton, SO15 5RL.
- Please ensure that you can attend the rehearsals (you may miss up to 3 rehearsals by prior agreement) and that you are able to perform in the final concert
- Music and rehearsal CDs will be given out at the first rehearsal or will be available for download from the BSO website Members’ area at the start of term

Our concert was one of the most amazing experiences… The orchestra was fabulous… A BIG thank you to them. I so enjoyed every moment of the performance that my only wish was that we could have done it all over again!
