Singing in a choir is a brilliant way to meet new people and it has been proven to instill a sense of happiness and increase wellbeing.

The choir performs at least three times a year under the direction of conductor, Pete Harrison with the full Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. There are no auditions to join and the ability to read music is not essential.

Choir members enjoy being part of the BSO family, sharing experiences in rehearsal and on the concert platform, with social events alongside plenty of tea, biscuits and fun.

  • Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings from 7.15-9.30pm beginning 18 September 2019 at Richard Taunton Sixth Form College, Hill Lane, Southampton, SO15 5RL. (Half term break: Wed 30 October)
  • Please ensure that you can attend the rehearsals (you may miss up to 3 rehearsals by prior agreement) and that you are able to perform on Saturday 14 December
  • Music and rehearsal CDs will be given out at the first rehearsal or will be available for download from the BSO website Members’ area before the start of term

To register for the autumn term, please click here. Alternatively, you can download a registration form here and bring it to the first rehearsal.

Our concert was one of the most amazing experiences… The orchestra was fabulous… A BIG thank you to them. I so enjoyed every moment of the performance that my only wish was that we could have done it all over again!
