The BSO is back in Cornwall with wall to wall music including an exciting KS1 Schools concert and visits to care homes across the County, a new music drama, concerts “on your doorstep” in Redruth, Saltash and Falmouth, workshops and performances with young musicians and schools, and creative music making for health & wellbeing with local partners across Cornwall. The residency culminates with a full symphonic performance at Hall for Cornwall, Truro, with Beethoven’s powerful Fifth Symphony and Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.2.

Fault Lines is a story told through music inspired by folklore, home, mining, memories and mischief. “At a wake in a pub, a storyteller fondly remembers local miner, Joe. Soon, a deeper story emerges about friendship, mischief, tragedy and forces more powerful than man…” Performances take place on location at Geevor Tin Mine, Wheal Martyn Clay Works and St Agnes Miners and Mechanics’ Institute.

For those who want to perform themselves, we also have a special Symphony In A Day preparing and performing Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony alongside BSO players.
