Alongside our core programmes, we offer wraparound concert activities to enrich classroom learning, broaden cultural experiences and inspire creativity. This includes:
- Discounted tickets for school groups to attend our main season concerts, including performances that specifically feature GCSE or A Level repertoire.
- Open rehearsals – bring your secondary school students closer to classical music with the unique opportunity to sit in a world-class symphony orchestra rehearsal.
- Pre-concert workshops – delivered in partnership with the Bristol Beacon, our interactive pre-concert workshops give young people and teachers the chance to explore the music and the artists before the performance. Sessions range from music-making to discussion and exploration of themes and practical support for teachers.
- Meet and greets – if your school is attending one of our concerts, we’d love to hear from you. Get in touch and we can look into arranging a meet and greet.
- Artist in residence opportunities – we try to maximise when our artists in residence are with us, and can sometimes offer further experiences with them to inspire young people
They loved meeting the musician and were just in awe of everything. I will definitely plan to do more trips like this, as it’s amazing for the children to experience it.
