We’re delighted to offer secondary schools (KS3+) the opportunity to attend an open rehearsal on Thursday 15 April 2027 at Citygate Church Bournemouth, where your students can watch the BSO and soloist Isata Kanneh-Mason rehearse for their Classic FM Hall of Fame concert. See more information about the concert programme here. This is a fantastic chance for students to experience a professional orchestra up close, gain behind the scenes insight into the rehearsal process and see how the conductor, soloist and musicians work together to bring a performance to life.

The rehearsal starts at 10am and will finish at 11:30am at the latest.

Places are limited and will be given on a first come first served basis. We do ask for a small payment of 50p per student ticket. Teacher tickets are free.

I will definitely plan to do more trips like this as it’s an amazing experience for the students!
