John Williams’ magical music is due to light up Portsmouth Guildhall Square on Friday 1 August when we bring to life symphonic music from well-known favourites such as Star Wars, Jurassic Park, JFK, Jaws and many more. Audiences should prepare to be transported to a galaxy far, far away as live symphonic music is played by the full Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in the heart of the city.

On Saturday 2 August, ABBA’s Symphonic Spectacular presents a selection of favourite hits from the Swedish superstars including Mamma Mia, Super Trouper and I Have a Dream in a set that we hope it will have you saying “thank you for the music” by the end — this is sure to be a super trouper show!

And, to add an extra magical zing to the occasion, there’ll be an exciting party atmosphere on both nights as the evenings culminate with a bang in a fantastic fireworks display.

Both concerts are presented by The Guildhall Trust in partnership with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, with the Symphonic Spectacular events an exciting development in the special and long-standing relationship between the organisations. It will be a magnificent to be part of this special outdoor event celebrating live symphonic music – we can’t wait to see you there!
