School pupils of all ages are invited to interact with and take part in live music-making, when our musicians tour schools throughout Cornwall in March. There’ll be at least 10 educational workshops and performances across the county in partnership with ASONE Hub, including: school workshops; a schools’ concert in Redruth; and side-by-side events with amateur musicians of all ages.

Our professional players and Associate Music Leaders will present workshops with pupils at schools in South East Cornwall [4-5 Mar] before travelling to Redruth [6 Mar] where a 14-piece ensemble and presenter will give a performance that explores the natural world in a schools’ concert designed for Key Stage 1 pupils at Regal Theatre, Redruth.

A couple of days later Key Stage 4 pupils are invited to take part in a side-by-side playing experience with orchestral musicians, after the BSO’s From West End to Hollywood concert in Saltash [8 Mar].

Later in the month we’re  delighted to be joining the talented young musicians of Cornwall Youth Orchestra at Truro High School [23 March] for a side-by-side playing day; pupils will experience the thrill of playing alongside professional musicians when players from the BSO visit the school. Plus, there is an opportunity for adult players of all ages to get involved through a Symphony in a Day project in Truro [23 Mar] to perform Beethoven’s famous Fifth Symphony.

We can’t wait to see you there! For more information about our Cornwall Residency click here
