Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and BSO Voices join forces for a one-off musical extravaganza of unforgettable Silver Screen Showstoppers. The Golden Age of Hollywood musicals is brought to life in an afternoon packed with classic favourites from Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, My Fair Lady, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Wizard of Oz and many more

Whether you grew up with these melodies or you’re a musical fan who has discovered them more recently, Silver Screen Showstoppers is a chance to hear some of the best show tunes ever composed. From the sweeping prairies of Oklahoma! to the fiery cauldron of New York’s West Side Story via a quick trip to the South Pacific, all the greats of the era will be performed. Be swept away into an era of gorgeous melodies from Rodgers & Hammerstein, catchy tunes from Cole Porter and iconic numbers like Singin’ in The Rain, There’s No Business Like Show Business and Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
