“Rusties” benefit from specialist sectional coaching by musicians from the orchestra, professional instruction from conductor, Arturo Serna, and the chance to meet and play alongside like-minded people in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The repertoire is César Franck’s popular Symphony in D minor.

Musicians will work through in sectionals in the morning, before an afternoon rehearsal and informal sharing to friends and family at the end of the day.

Booking is open for the following instrumentalists:

Strings section: Violin I & II, Viola, Cello, Double Bass
Winds section: Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet (please book as a Clarinet), Oboe, Cor Anglais (please book as an Oboe), Bassoon
Brass section: Trumpet, Cornet, Trombone, French Horn, Tuba

Percussion: Timpani

“Rusties” is aimed at young fledgling talent (16+), keen amateur players and those looking for a reason to get instruments our of their cases. All participants should be grade 5 or above (or an equivalent standard).
