Singing in a choir is a brilliant way to meet new people and it has been proven to instil a sense of happiness and increase wellbeing.
The choir performs several times a year under the direction of conductor, Pete Harrison with the full Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. There are no auditions to join and the ability to read music is not essential.
Choir members enjoy being part of the BSO family, sharing experiences in rehearsal and on the concert platform, with social events alongside plenty of tea, biscuits and fun, as well as benefitting from ticket discounts for all BSO promoted concerts.
- Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings from 7.15-9.30pm beginning 3 June at King Edward VI School, Wilton Road, Southampton, SO15 5UQ.
- Please ensure that you can attend the rehearsals (you may miss up to 3 rehearsals by prior agreement) and that you are able to perform in the concert.
- Music and audio teaching tracks are available for download from the BSO Voices Resources page.
For our Summer 2026 term, the choir will be working on a variety of past favourites – everything from Bridge Over Troubled Water to Jerusalem, culminating in a relaxed summer concert on Saturday 1 August in the heart of the New Forest at St Michael and All Angels, Lyndhurst.
