Both groups make use of accessible electronic instruments that haven’t historically featured in the traditional symphony orchestra, including the Linnstrument, which uses touch, and the Headspace, which uses head movements and breath, to create sound.

In 2023, BSO Resound and RNS Moves unite to present two performances — in Poole and Gateshead — featuring a new commission by award-winning composer Kate Whitley (who is also known for co-founding The Multi-Story Orchestra). The programme also includes Tchaikovsky’s First Symphony.
