Hassell won unanimous critical acclaim for his 2015 Royal Shakespeare Company performance of Henry V.

The performance takes place at Lighthouse, Poole on Wednesday 11 May under the baton of Kirill Karabits.

Celebrated British film, television and stage actor Alex Hassell joins Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO) and conductor Kirill Karabits to close the Orchestra’s 2021/22 season at Lighthouse, Poole this month.

Hassell narrates ‘Henry V: A Shakespeare Scenario’ on Wednesday 11 May — the concert takes place at Lighthouse, Poole and will be available via livestream for 30 days online.

Celebrated for his stage performances of Shakespeare, Hassell was praised by audiences and critics alike for his 2015 Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) performance of Henry V.  The Telegraph awarded Henry V with five stars, calling the show “just what the nation ordered,” and Alex’s performance “career-making stuff.

Other recent stage work includes leading roles in Death of a Salesman opposite Antony Sher and Harriet Walter in London’s West End, and David Hare’s I’m Not Running for The National Theatre.

Alex trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama. He is a co-founder of The Factory Theatre Company whose patrons include Ewan McGregor, Bill Nighy, Mark Rylance and Emma Thompson.

Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra concludes its main season of full symphonic music this May, following performances in Basingstoke, Exeter, Poole, and Portsmouth, featuring a range of guest artists from around the globe.

Alex Hassell performs alongside Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Kirill Karabits at Lighthouse, Poole on Wednesday 11 May, 7.30pm. The performance will also be livestreamed and available online for 30 days.
