Chary Nurymov was the author of several ballets, symphonic, vocal, choral, chamber instrumental compositions.
In 2020, the Ashkhabad Mukan Palace presented an online concert devoted to Nurymov. Musicians from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan and the Republic Tatarstan of the Russian Federation gathered for the event that celebrated the composer’s posthumous eightieth birthday.
Nurymov’s music has further been celebrated as part of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra’s Voices from the East series.
