Andrew Litton Conductor Laureate
Principal Conductor from 1988 to 1994, Andrew Litton regularly returns to conduct the Orchestra with his unique energy and zest.
Andrew took the Orchestra on its first American tour in 1994 and has appeared on 14 of our recordings, including the Grammy winning Belshazzar’s Feast.
Currently Music Director of the New York City Ballet, he is also Principal Guest Conductor of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Laureate of Norway’s Bergen Philharmonic.
