The National Lottery plays a major role in funding the BSO and without it we would not be able to do the work we do.
Since the National Lottery’s first draw took place on 19 November 1994, more than £40 billion has been raised for good causes in the area of arts, sports, heritage and community. It makes a huge difference to lives of people and communities throughout the whole of the UK.
As a recipient of National Lottery funding, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is proud to provide world-class performances for audiences across South West England and beyond, as well as continuing to spearhead change through our work with smaller ensembles, including BSO Resound, the disabled-led ensemble changing perceptions of what it means to be a musician in the 21st century.
We recorded a musical offering with the Bournemouth Symphony Chorus under the baton of David Hill to mark this special birthday… enjoy!
As part of the #ThanksToYou campaign, we will be offering 2-4-1 on tickets for our ‘Winds of Change’ performance on 27 Nov at Lighthouse, Poole and 29 Nov at St George’s, Bristol. The offer is valid on presentation of any National Lottery ticket at the Box Office purchased between 23 and 29 Nov (see terms and conditions below).
Thank you and #Thankstoyou!
