King will join forces with the Orchestra to bring us a show-stopping, rip-roaring celebration of ‘Vegas Years’ Elvis. There’ll be hits like Heartbreak Hotel, Blue Suede Shoes, The Wonder of You, Always On My Mind, My Way, Can’t Help Falling in Love and many more.

Lee Memphis King’s love of Elvis began early, when he saw him for the first time on TV aged five. He said he was “captivated” by the star and, even then, had an “incredibly strong urge to perform”.

The addition of the orchestra to his act, he says, “lifts the show and adds another dimension to his music.”

He said, ideally, he’d like people to come away from the concert thinking “it’s like watching the real thing!” and that his main goal is “to pay the utmost respect; a sincere and authentic tribute to the man.”

The BSO’s Head of Marketing and Digital, Anthony Brown, said: “Elvis was the superlative showman and this concert featuring the talents of one of the UK’s top Elvis impersonators, Lee Memphis King, who will bring all the rhinestones and sequins of the Vegas years to Poole, accompanied by the full glory of the BSO.”

Join Elvis tribute artist, Lee Memphis King, and the full Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra for ‘Elvis: Viva Las Vegas!’ on Saturday 7 November at Lighthouse, Poole.
