Beginning on Wednesday 17 September, the BSO Voices rehearsals take place every Wednesday at Richard Taunton Sixth Form College, Southampton.

There are no auditions to join and the ability to read music is not essential. For many, the choir is a way to connect and find community as well as to explore new repertoire and sing alongside the full Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra

The choir’s autumn term leads up to the festive season at its members will explore repertoire from Beal’s Jingle Bell Rock and Handel’s Joy to the World. The term culminates in a joyous Winter Wonderland performance in Southampton on 13 December.

Members have mentioned their favourite parts of being in the choir as being the “friendship and support”, the “joy of collective singing”, “the people, the songs, the fun!”, “the chance to perform each term with the BSO” and “exploring different music as a non-music person”.

If you’d like to try out BSO Voices you can come along to the first session for free to see if you like it, with the option of signing up for the full term if you decide to continue. For full details see here.
