Dorset Rusties is the biggest event of our ‘Rusty & not so Rusty Musician” series, with amateur musicians from across the region performing alongside the full Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra at the Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts.

This year the eclectic programme ranges from Marquez’s uplifting and toe-tapping Danzon No.2 to Antonin Dvorak’s ever popular Symphony 9 “From the New World”. Don’t miss out on a joyous evening of live music-making from our orchestra alongside our community.

Rusty & Not So Rusty Musicians events run throughout the year and give amateur musicians of all ages the chance to learn and perform alongside professional musicians from our orchestra. Rusties benefit from specialist coaching during rehearsals, professional instruction from a BSO conductor, and a chance to meet like-minded people in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
