In the wonderfully welcoming environment of Christchurch Priory, our special fundraising concert features well known classical works, performed by the musicians of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of BSO Benevolent Fund friend, Tom Fetherstonhaugh.
BSO Strings open the concert with the magical soundscape of Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on a theme by Thomas Tallis. Perfectly scored for the Priory’s acoustics, come hear this timeless work as it was meant to be performed. BSO Principal Trumpet, Paul Bosworth, performs a showcase performance of Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto, a cornerstone of the classical trumpet repertoire. After interval refreshments, experience a rare treat of four harps performing together. BSO Principal Harp, Eluned Pierce will be joined by three BSO harp friends to bring this unique spectacle to life! To bring our concert to a close, you will be immersed in the beautiful music of Mozart’s Symphony No.39.
Tickets include a concert programme. You can also include a donation when purchasing tickets.
