Singing in a choir is a brilliant way to meet new people and instils a great sense of happiness, wellbeing and belonging. BSO Voices are proof of this with the friendly and fun environment of rehearsals producing inspiring performances in which the choir sings together in monumental harmony.

Several times a year, the choir share the stage with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Pete Harrison. There are no auditions to join and the ability to read music is not essential, members only need to share a love of music! Choir members enjoy being part of the BSO family, sharing experiences in rehearsal and on the concert platform, with social events with plenty of tea, biscuits and fun – as well as benefitting from ticket discounts for all BSO promoted concerts.

  • Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings from 7.15-9.30pm at King Edward VI School, Wilton Road, Southampton, SO15 5UQ.
  • Please ensure that you can attend the rehearsals (you may miss up to 3/4 rehearsals by prior agreement) and that you are able to perform for the concert.
  • The rehearsal on the day of the concert is mandatory.
