From epic film franchises to some of the greatest entertainers to have graced the world’s stages, all brought to life by the full forces of a symphony orchestra.

Star Wars 50th Anniversary Celebration

We’re convinced the force will be with all of us as we travel to a galaxy far, far away to celebrate Star War’s 50th anniversary at Theatre Royal, Plymouth, on Friday 25 September.

Conductor Pete Harrison directs the Orchestra in a concert featuring all the best of John Williams’ timeless music from the epic space opera. Expect music such as Battle of the Heroes, Princess Leia’s Theme & Here They Come, and The Rebellion is Reborn, and much more.

Head of Marketing and Digital, Anthony Brown, said he is “delighted that the BSO is returning to Theatre Royal Plymouth with another sellout concert featuring the music of Star Wars by the master, John Williams”.

Elvis: Viva Las Vegas! 

Then on Saturday 7 November, the King of rock and roll will be entering the building! That’s Lee Memphis King … who has been described as Europe’s most successful Elvis Presley tribute artist. He’ll join forces with the Orchestra to bring us a show-stopping, rip-roaring celebration of ‘Vegas Years’ Elvis. There’ll be hits like Heartbreak Hotel, Blue Suede Shoes, The Wonder of You, Always On My Mind, My Way, Can’t Help Falling in Love and many more.

From 1969-1977, Elvis Presley toured North America with an orchestra – and it’s the exact same concert we’ll bringing the same concert to Lighthouse, Poole!

Anthony Brown says, “Elvis was the superlative showman and this concert featuring the talents of one of the UK’s top Elvis impersonators, Lee Memphis King, will bring all the rhinestones and sequins of the Vegas years to Poole, accompanied by the full glory of the BSO.”
