From their early beginnings ELO have fused pop music with classical overtones. Formed in Birmingham in 1970 ELO’s creator and driving force, Jeff Lynne, added violins, cellos, string basses, horns and woodwind to the standard rock line-up.
Conductor Richard Balcombe and Graham Bickley now present a concert which celebrates the unique aura of ELO. In this concert their classical sound is expanded with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra as well as a band and six singers. Prepare to hear ELO in full symphonic glory… and as you’ve never heard them before!
