Bournemouth NOYO Ensemble

We are recruiting an Assistant Music Leader to support the Music Leader to lead, develop and facilitate our Bournemouth NOYO Ensemble from September 2024 – August 2025.

National Open Youth Orchestra (NOYO) Ensembles give some of the UK’s most talented young disabled musicians a progression route. They promote musical excellence and empower disabled and non-disabled musicians aged 11-25 to rehearse and perform together.

How to apply:

Please send the completed Application Form to Catherine Thomas participate@bsorchestra.co.uk by Thursday 18 July, 9am.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview on Wednesday 24 July in Poole. You will be notified by the end of the day on Friday 19 July if you have been shortlisted, with information on a short task and interview questions. We are committed to making reasonable adjustments, if required.

If you would like more information or a friendly, confidential, chat about any aspect of the programme before applying, or you require anything in a different format, please contact Jess Craig via email jcraig@bsorchestra.co.uk or phone 07860 268847.

Inclusion is at the heart of what we do and we welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds. We would particularly like to encourage applications from music leaders currently underrepresented in music; including those who identify as disabled, D/deaf or Neurodivergent, those from the Global Majority, or from lower socio-economic backgrounds.

The BSO’s Bournemouth NOYO Ensemble programme is generously funded by the Borletti-Buitoni Trust, The Pointer Family Trust and the Valentine Charitable Trust.
