The concert, which was organised by Bristol Beacon, took place at the city’s centrally located Cathedral, as part of a programme to give residents of Bristol’s care homes the opportunity to hear live orchestral music. As Bristol Beacon’s Orchestra-in-Residence we shared music from Dvorak’s Symphony No.9 ‘From the New World’.

The concert was also an opportunity for residents to say a farewell to Kirill Karabits, as he makes his final appearances in the City at Chief Conductor. Karabits returns to Bristol Beacon to conduct the Orchestra in a BBC Proms performance on Sunday 25 August.
