Championing inclusive music-making and tackling inequalities within the industry has always been at the heart of our special partnership with AMI. This takes many forms including their support of our ensemble BSO Resound (the world’s first disabled-led ensemble at the core of a major symphony orchestra), and our BSO Young Associates programme, for which they are Supporting Partner.
Our partnership with AMI has provided first-hand insight into the work we do to empower lives through music. The partnership has also enabled Allianz a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by musicians in recent years, which in turn has strengthened the service they provide for musicians.
Over the course of this partnership year, AMI will continue to shine a light on the incredible artists, musicians and talent who work with us to make great music for all; such as our Chief Conductor Kirill Karabits and our Artist-in-Residence Felix Klieser. We’re excited to see what the partnership with AMI has in store for us all —musicians, communities and audiences —over the following year!
Bea Hankey, Joint Head of BSO Participate, said: “We’re thrilled that Allianz Musical Insurance is continuing its support of our inclusive music-making in the community, with an ongoing commitment to BSO Resound, and the work of our Associate Musicians and BSO Young Associates programme. This kind of longstanding partnership enables us to deepen relationships within the local communities we serve here in the South West, and help us to continue sharing our life-empowering live music that is known to help people find inspiration, hope and confidence.”
