This is a full-time, contract position, with opportunities to lead the section on occasion.

Based in Poole, Dorset, the BSO perform extensively across the south and south-west of England, nationally and internationally, and deliver an extensive range of education and community work, through its award-winning Participate department.

The Orchestra’s Principal Conductor is Kirill Karabits; Leader Amyn Merchant.

Auditions will be held in Poole in September 2023.

Audition repertoire:

• 1^st movement of Haydn C major or D major concerto (without cadenza)
• 1^st movement of a major concerto (without cadenza)
• excerpts will be emailed to those offered an audition
• sight-reading may be given
