It is in the Fifth Symphony that you truly encounter the genius of Beethoven through the musical manifestations of his intimate thoughts, his secret sorrows and his intensely concentrated rage. If listened to with fresh ears, it is still possible to be astonished at the force and compressive power of this awesome vision of triumph over tragedy.
This event is an informal sharing performance , the culmination of our Symphony in a Day: Truro for friends and family of those who have participated in the day’s work with BSO musicians and our Assistant Conductor Tom Fetherstonhaugh.
Tickets are free, but they are limited. Please be mindful that if tickets are booked but not used, this may prevent others family or friends from attending the concert.
