The residency allows us to bring some of the world’s most exciting soloists to audiences across the South West, through a number of concerts across the season, both in concerto performances alongside our world class orchestra but also in a chamber recital. We are delighted to announce that German french horn player, Felix Klieser, will be our Artist-in-Residence for the 2021/22 Season and will be appearing with us next in a concert featuring Mozart’s Horn Concerto No.4 together with Kirill on Wednesday 17 November. He will also be giving a recital together with BSO players and will also work with BSO Participate and BSO Resound.
Previous Artists-in-Residence have included celebrated clarinettist Andreas Ottensamer, violinists extraordinaire Nemanja Radulovic and Augustin Hadelich, German cellist Johannes Moser and amazing pianists Sunwook Kim, Gabriela Montero and Benjamin Grosvenor.
The BSO’s Artist-in-Residence programme is generously supported by Terence and Annette O’Rourke.
