Summer Symphomania Indoor Outdoors!!

Indoor Outdoor – at these topsy-turvey concerts, audience members are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets  to Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts, to enjoy the music performed live by the BSO while sitting on an artificial lawn for a spectacularly summery experience, with fantastic music, lighting and special effects. 

The BSO has teamed up with Lighthouse, Poole to repeat its immensely popular Indoor Outdoor Festival in June 21012.  There are two popular open-air style concerts, Symphomania and Classical Choral Spectacular.

With everybody’s favourite classical melodies, Symphomania! on Thursday 28 June will bring ‘symphomaniacs’ everywhere a concert bursting with the greatest and most recognisable movements from symphonies ever written, including Beethoven’s famous bars from the first movement of his Fifth Symphony, Mozart’s much-loved Symphony No. 40 and Dvorak’s thrilling New World. 

Classical Choral Spectacular on Friday 29 June, presents the unbeatable combined forces of Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Bournemouth Symphony Chorus in music that includes O Fortuna from Orff’s Carmina Burana, Bach’s Toccata and Fugue as well as film scores such as Dragonheart, Avatar and Gladiator.
