  2. Congratulations on a thrilling concert. The Tchaikovsky was superbly interpreted (BSO should record it) but my enjoyment was marred by a series of fff coughs from someone seated nearby. Cannot something be put in the programmes to address this problem. Bernard Haitink once famously shook his handkerchief behind his back to indicate what an offender should do about it, perhaps Kirill might be persuaded to do likewise!

  2. We have had a couple of comments regarding this, although it is not usually an issue. It is perhaps just the end of the Winter, but we will certainly keep an eye on (and an ear out) for the problem and perhaps put something in programmes in the future.
